Welcome to another AWESOME week at RCMS!
Good Evening Families,

ParentSquare has a template feature that I'm trying out this week. Feel free to reply to my message to let me know what you think!

Starting last week, the admin. team has been meeting with each history class to go over the "5 Keys" to being successful this semester. We are encouraging our students to reach their full potential by:
  1. Taking care of themselves and their environment
  2. Being careful who they choose to 'sit' with, knowing that the people they hang out with will have an impact on who they become
  3. Starting tasks NOW and not being sucked in by distractions - especially their devices and social media
  4. Realizing that EVERYONE needs help, and seeking help earlier when problems are small makes it easier to solve them
  5. Lifting each other up, because positivity and respect makes our school and world a better place

Feel free to have conversations with your student this week about the expectations YOU have for them. Sharing your values with your child helps them make more positive, responsible choices at school.

Be sure to scroll through to see important updates about this week, and remember that our Attendance Challenge starts Monday!

Have a great week LIONS!

HONOR ROLL ASSEMBLY - Thursday, 1/16/25
Congratulations to students who earned a spot on Lion's Honor Roll (3.5-3.99) or Principal's Honor Roll (4.0) first semester. They received invitations last week for you to join us at the Honor Roll Assembly. If you did not receive an invitation but believe your child had a GPA of 3.5 or higher last semester, please give us a call! We look forward to seeing you on Thursday as we honor these exceptional learners:

Our RCMS students are doing some awesome reading! So far, we have logged over 118,000 minutes of reading! That's incredible! As you know, when students read outside of school, they are more likely to improve their reading skills, more likely to improve their classroom grades, and more likely to build a love for reading that will last a lifetime!
